Ang received his B.Sc. (Hons)
and PhD degrees in Applied Mathematics
from the University of Adelaide
Australia).?He is currently an
Associate Professor of Mathematics
at the National Institute of Education,
which is part of the Nanyang Technological
University, Singapore. His primary
interest in research encompasses
mathematical modelling in various
biological and medical settings,
as well as numerical methods for
partial differential equations.
He is the author of several papers
dealing with modelling of blood
flow through arterial structures
and has appeared in journals in
biomedical engineering, computers
and simulation, engineering science
and medicine. In addition, he
has also published a number of
papers relating to the teaching
of mathematics in journals such
as The Mathematics Educator, Teaching
Mathematics and Its Applications
and the International Journal
of Mathematical Education in Science

Records, Douglas taught secondary
Mathematics for over 30 years.
He served as Head of Mathematics
at Oundle School and was Chairman
of the MEI Schools project, a
leading UK curriculum development
project.
A keen pianist
and dinghy sailor, he is also
author of "Using the Internet
- Mathematics" (revised July
2003), the principal author of
Autograph (version 3, May 2005),
and a major contributor to "Teaching
Secondary Mathematics with Technology"
(Open University, October 2004).
He maintains a large web site
of educational resources in many

.
In 2000 he founded
the innovative iCT Training Centre,
based at Oundle School, which
creates new resources for the
use of computers in mathematics,
and runs the TSM (Technology in
Secondary/College Mathematics)
teacher training events all over
the UK and overseas. He has also
run a new series of conferences
on Technology for Teaching Music.
He is a frequent speaker at international
mathematics teachers' conferences,
and is to be the opening keynote
at the Texas Instruments T?Conference
in Denver next February.

Keady was born in Western Australia,
and completed his first degree
at its University. He returned
to Australia from England, with
a PhD from Cambridge and an English
wife, in the early 1970s, and
has been based at the University
of Western Australia since 1974.
His continuing enthusiasms include
(1) mathematics, (2) programming,
(3) applied computer algebra.
To earn a living, the main areas
he prefers to lecture are the
upper levels of engineering mathematics,
attempting to involve the students
in seeing the connections between
mathematics and reality, and training
them in using engineering mathematics
software to help them get started
with tools useful for the rest
of their careers in using maths
in engineering tasks. Large class
teaching has also led to significant
interests in computer aided assessment
systems underpinned by computer
algebra.

from Taiwan, and received his
Ph.D. in Mathematics from the
University of California at Davis
in 1988. Since 1991, he started
implementing the use of technology
in his teaching and research.
His original research interest
was in the theoretical integration
theory and thanks to computer
software technologies, he is able
to experiment his integration
quadratures with his theoretical
approaches. Professor Yang has
written many papers which demonstrate
how technology could make complex
and abstract concepts more accessible
to students. The topics range
from Pre-Calculus, Calculus, to
Linear Algebra and Advanced Calculus.
He has co-authored a book 'Exploring
Mathematics with Mathematics'
with Professor Jonathan Lewin.
He also had given over 200 international
presentations around the world.
Professor Yang had a vision in
early 1990 that technology will
make an impact in the area of
Mathematics, thus he founded the
Asian Technology Conference in
