Technology in Examinations

Abstract

The advent of technology has brought with it new methods in studying and teaching mathematics including changes in the way examinations are carried out in the classroom. In this talk, we discuss actual situations where examinations are given in the classroom with the aid of technology. We present a selection of examination questions used in classes and analyze student performance on these questions. We also assess how students perform in examinations when preparation for these exams is done with the presence of technology.
